Eric Young Debuts At NXT Taping

Over the past few years, we’ve seen WWE and TNA essentially trade talent. While Drew Galloway, Bram, Eli Drake, and others have headed over to Impact Wrestling recently, World Wrestling Entertainment has acquired (or in some cases, reacquired) talent such as AJ Styles, Austin Aries, Xavier Woods, and the Dudley Boyz. But now it appears that yet another pillar of Dixie Carter’s company has arrived at Full Sail University to join one of the hottest wrestling promotions in the world today.

According to multiple sources, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young debuted at last night’s NXT tapings. The TNA Original parted ways with the company last month after being there since 2004 and became a free agent. But as the newly crowned NXT Champion Samoa Joe addressed the NXT Universe for the first time since his title win in Lowell, MA, the World Class Maniac interrupted the Samoan Submission Specialist to challenge him to a match. WWE’s Twitter account posted a video of the 18-year veteran’s entrance and broke the news of Young’s arrival:

Later, Cathy Kelley conducted an exclusive interview with Young for WWE.com. Like many others that have made the jump, the Bearded Terror proclaimed that NXT is the place to be and it’s somewhere that he has wanted to be for a long time. You can check out Eric Young’s first WWE interview below:

What do you think about Eric Young joining NXT? Who are you hoping to see him face while he’s here? And do you think that he will make it to the main roster and appear on Raw and Smackdown some time down the line? Let us know in the comments.
