Hulk Hogan wins the case against Gawker, Hulk and Dixie Carter comment on his win!!!

TMZ.com is reporting that Hulk Hogan won his case against Gawker, and was awarded an astounding $115 million. Hogan had only sued the site, which published clips of his sex tape with Heather Clem, for $100 million, but the jury decided it wasn’t enough and awarded Hogan $115 million.

The breakdown of the payout is as follows – $55 million for economic injuries and $60 million for emotional distress. He could get even more with punitive damages.

Gawker published 1 minute and 50 seconds of the video without Hulk’s permission. Hogan claimed it was the ultimate invasion of his privacy.

While Gawker has made no announcement regarding its future, the site has admitted publicly in the past that it would likely have to shut down if forced to pay the $100 million.
