The Wrestling Observer previously reported that former UFC star Matt Riddle will be signing with WWE soon, as he recently met with Triple H.
EVOLVE parent company WWN Live issued the following statement on the report:
Matt Riddle has been the subject of many rumors in the past week, including what was reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. What we do know is that when the former UFC fighter confronted William Regal at EVOLVE 54 about a WWE contract, Regal told him to focus on winning the EVOLVE Title first. Riddle has made it clear in the past that he sees EVOLVE as his stepping stone. Will he take that step by winning the EVOLVE Title on March 19th?
