Chyna Found Dead at 45

Chyna passes

With heavy heart here at Tales From the Turnbuckle.  I hate to report this because she meant so much to me.  Joanie Chyna Laurer has passed away at age 46.  It’s still under investigation but it’s believed she had a OD on sleep meds and anti depressants.  Chyna was having trouble sleeping and was still dealing with depression issues but she off of all major drugs.  A friend went to go check on Chyna when she hadn’t heard from her in days.  The friend found her dead sleeping peacefully in her bed.  Police say no signs of a drug overdose but investigation is open.  Her website posted the following:  “It is with deep sadness to inform you that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world, has passed away.”

Chyna is a ICON. The 9th wonder of the world paved the way for soo many women.  She made female wrestling relevant and cool again.  She broke all the barriers in wrestling.  She competed in The King of The Ring Touranment, Won a man’s championship The Intercontinental Championship. She beat Jeff Jarrett and Chris Jericho to be a 2 time intercontinental champion. She beat and pinned alot of WWE male legends. Nobody can touch or match the power of Chyna. She meant so much to so many fans all around the world. Female fans looked up to Chyna as a role model thinking look at what Chyna did to a male dominating sport, she broke the barriers and kicked some major ass. She even wrestled in Japan and beat alot of the male Japanese legends.  She loved Antonio Inoki and Masa Chono during her stay in Japan, they worked with her in their dojo. Chyna is the greatest female wrestler of all time.  She did more for this sport then any female in history. I had the pleasure last year of interviewing Chyna.  She’s wonderful kind hearted human being.  She didn’t deserve to die so young, she still had plenty of life left and is taken from us to soon.   RIP 9th wonder of the world, you will always be our Chyna Doll.  We love you and will miss you so much.  Hopefully you finally found your peace.
