Watch out, Kardashians! Following the success of ‘Total Divas’, the E! network has announced another reality show featuring the female Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment set to debut in the fall titled ‘Total Bellas’. The six-episode spinoff will pick up after Nikki Bella goes through delicate surgery on her neck and spine. During this long period of recovery, which includes a period of three months where Nikki can’t leave the house, her sister Brie Bella and brother-in-law Daniel Bryan move into John Cena’s house with her to keep her company. The show will also feature “Brother Bella” J.J., his wife Lola, their mother Kathy, and their new step-father (and former WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations) John Laurinaitis. You can check out the first trailer for the new series below:
As you can see from the trailer, the show will explore other areas of the Bellas’ lives outside of the ring, especially the fallout from Daniel Bryan’s retirement from in-ring competition, a heart-breaking moment that is sure to still be fresh in the minds of many members of the WWE Universe. Although it’s currently uncertain whether Brie’s recent retirement will be covered as well.
But with ‘Total Bellas’ on the horizon for the twins, what does this mean for their tenure on ‘Total Divas’? WWE.com revealed that the sisters will continue to cast some Twin Magic on the sixth season of that show along with co-stars Eva Marie, Naomi, Natalya, and Paige. Additionally, the Ravishing Russian Lana, broadcaster extraordinaire Renee Young, and former WWE Divas Champion (and The Miz’s wife) Maryse will join the cast for even more insight into the non-stop action of sports entertainment and the personal and professional drama that goes along with that. However, for a few more teases about what we will see in the first season of this exciting new show, check out this interview with Nikki and Brie courtesy of E! Online:
