Variety.com is reporting that Hulu will be introducing a new, live TV service in 2017, allowing users to watch live and on-demand programming. The report notes a Hulu executive informed The Wall Street Journal that a $40 per month pricepoint is in the ballpark, but the actual service price has yet to be announced.
The report also revealed that NBCUniversal, which has cable channels including USA Network, is in talks to join the service. USA Network is of course the home of WWE Raw and Smackdown.
The report added that Hulu and NBCU are in the early stages of active negotiations, and that Hulu had approached NBCU about possibly partnering on the service.
